This 3.5 Cu ft all refrigerator runs on propane, 110V electric, and 12V DC battery. Operation of the refrigerator is straight forward with the igniter, safety valve, and thermostat located on the control panel. A flame indicator is also located on the control panel to let you know the flame is lit. Inside the Refrigerator you will find an all white interior with adjustable/removable shelving, along with door shelving capable of holding several beverages. Clearance of 4" inches should be left on the top, and 1" inch on back/sides of the unit for proper air circulation. Installation
It is advisable to clean the inside of the absorption refrigerator with lukewarm water using a mild detergent,
and then to dry it thoroughly prior to use.
LEVELLING AND VENTILATION
The refrigeration system of the cabinet is designed to operate with the cabinet located on a flat surface. Avoid
tilting the cabinet side.
If the cabinet must be tilted on an angle for handling or moving purposes, allow it to sit in an upright position
20 to 30 minutes prior to plugging it in and starting the cooling of the storage compartment.
For electrical models - Grounding plug and socket should be provided in accordance with local regulations.
The cable-size should meet the refrigerator’s requirements. The unit must be connected to proper electrical
network, which is shown on the nameplate, through an omnipoplar circuit-breaker. To assure the proper
function of the refrigerator.
Please observe the following recommendations.
To ensure correct circulation, the unit should be kept 0.98"/ 2.5 cm away from the rear wall and possible
side walls.
The clearance above the refrigerator should be at least 4 inch (100 mm).
Locate the unit away from direct sunlight. This will enable you to obtain the best performance and save
energy.
Further the room should have a window (which can be opened) or a door to the outside.
It is important that the refrigerator is not subject to radiation of heat from a stove etc.
For best performance also at high ambient temperatures there must be a free air circulation over the cooling
unit at the rear of the refrigerator.
The refrigerator is designed for a free-standing installation.
Ventilation must be in accordance with AS5601-2004 -
Gas Installations.
In general, the appliance should
have adequate ventilation for complete combustion of gas, proper flueing and to maintain temperature of
immediate surroundings within safe limits.
Questions & Answers
1.Does this unit have it's own internal LP regulator?
No the gas supply line is not included with the fridge. When a licensed gas technician installs the appliance, they will be able to supply you with the line. The connector for installation will be on the fridge. What is required is the 3/8” SAE (UNF 5/8” - 18) male flare connection.
2.if the refrigerator is on one power source and it fails, will it switch over to the other power source?
This portable propane fridge doesn`t have a switch to swap AC to DC or electric, it need to manual switch the power.
There is also a flame indicator which will let you know if your flame is lit or not.
XCD:There is a manual switch on the bottom control panel that will require you to change from Propane to 110V. There is also a flame indicator which will let you know if your flame is lit or not.
3.direct vent or free vent？
XCD100A is our standard model which is free-venting.
4.When it says vent free, does it mean it doesn’t need to be vented?
By law, there is no venting required for this unit. If you are interested in a vent system, then you will need to special order our Direct Vent model.
